Fen is a multidisciplinary artist, musician, photographer, calligrapher, poet and occasional disability activist. She has been making music under the name i-thou since 2017, recently with a full band of friends and collaborators. I-thou is a concept borrowed from the philosophy of Martin Buber.

In 2019 she released the cassette album ‘How do we learn what love knows?‘ through Appetite for Destruction. It was recorded and produced at home and at Middle Farm Studios, by Fen, with help on drums from Alex and George, and Lise on keys and backing vocals, and is available to buy through Bandcamp.

Fen previously played in bands such as Sleeping States (Bella Union), François & the Atlas Mountains (Domino Records), Rozi Plain (Lost Map, Fence), Thanksgiving / Adrian Orange and her band (K Records, Marriage Records) and Bristol seven piece Arctic Circle. She is white, disabled, middle class and queer.
